The Stonewall Network Scenario Planning Workshops — Part 3: What’s Your Future?
December 11 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pmFree – $100
About this Event
If you had known five years ago that 2020 would unfold in the way that it has, how would you have engaged in strategic planning differently? If you knew what 2025 might bring, what would you do to plan for it now? Scenario planning, which is a form of strategic planning that starts with the future and works its way back, is rooted in precisely these questions. It begins with constructing the possible futures that you or your organization might face – even those that seem so extreme as a global pandemic shutting down the economy – and working back to create a robust strategy for thriving in a volatile, uncertain, complex, and ambiguous world. Join us for four lunch-hour sessions on scenario planning designed to give you the basics of this timely methodology.
Friday 12/11 12:00-1:00 Part 3: What’s Your Future? – Building on session 2, we imagine the possible futures created by different shifts in the identified trends, even if they seem extreme. Once those futures are fleshed out, we will differentiate between the possible and the plausible in order to focus our planning.
