Dear Chamber Allies, Members and Supporters,
Like many of you, we have been closely monitoring the situation at home and abroad concerning the Coronavirus. The Maryland LGBT Chamber wishes everyone to stay healthy and safe, and to practice caution in your day-to-day interaction. As a Chamber of a diverse membership base, the health and prosperity of our community is our utmost concern.
Consequently, we have consulted with local and national leaders, and are heeding their recommendations. In light of the recent state of emergency, we will be postponing all events in March and April until a future date. Anyone that has purchased tickets to our Business Expo or the Awards Gala will automatically be refunded.
We do not take this decision lightly, but know that it is in the best interest in helping mitigate the spread of the virus. I am constantly astounded by the resolve and strength of the LGBT community and our allies, and I know that we will weather this storm. As a resource throughout the state, please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions or concerns.
I also encourage everyone to stay informed via some of the following local and national resources:
Johns Hopkins Coronavirus Resource Center
Maryland Department of Health | Novel Coronavirus Information | COVID-19
Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) | CDC
Sincerely,
Keron R. Sadler
